Potts Missouri and Illinois Mission Memories: November 2019

OCTOBER
1
Today I was going to spend helping Pamela hemp at the dentist but there was trouble with her Medicaid I'm card so instead I helped at a senior center. In the afternoon we had a discussion and dinner with my lovin Roy as long with Brenda and Bruce Shane.
Tonight we ordered me a new computer/tablet. So we can show videos on a bigger screen,

At adult learning. I helped by creating an Excel spreadsheet. after lunch and rest we went to take brother Mcnew to the family history Center then had a discussion with Brother Bill Burrell. We were able to share our testimonies of the Book of Mormon and the spirit is strong. We are praying that he will come back to church. At night we had our Wellness Group. 3 people came.

Walmart shopping with Willow, General Conference with Willo and Roy in the morning. We watch by herself at night and then High went to the Women's Conference by myself. I was astounded at talk president Nelson gave.

we watched morning conference with Ryan Willow. They all joined us handwriting Willow for the afternoon session. Actually Roy was sick a lot he was there. Maybe he heard it. I had a nice dinner or everyone afterwards but they all had to leave. Dan helped with dishes

3 am up with stomachs pain. I've made reminder signs for Willow,
Baptism. We took Joshua and Willow and Roy. We had dinner at Willows then we finished watching the movie about Jesus Christ

We had three people bow out on us we're going to church. It was discouraging but the two Porter daughters family and Rachel Caine. Janice came over this afternoon to prepare for the ornament party that we're going to do in November.I made bread packets

Willo, read to succeed, visiting criddles, Porter's where Nanette did the discussion and where are we Pratt pizza for dinner. After that we took Johnny out for ice cream

Made cornbread for the temple day tomorrow, visited Schoens, visited Willo, took bread to Ty and invited to church, discussion for Roy and willo

Diana and Matthew and I work heading to the temple with us in st. Louis.

Our daughter, Trisha, invited us to share our answer to the question "why am I still a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints."

I have felt a real desire to share with you why after 63 years I'm still very much a member of The Church of Jesus Christ. The first reason is that I love Him. I love my brother. Being a member of his Church brings me joy, fellowship, comfort and truth. I have received a deep and abiding testimony of tithing and Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon. I see light in other people's eyes as they embrace the gospel and light in my own countenance and heart as I invite Jesus Christ into my life through scriptures prayers song and so many other things. Thanks Trisha for the challenge.

I had a great night sleep. We we're glad that Joshua came to church with us. Bill came for the first time Saint Therese and on our mission. I felt so much gratitude.

We helped at read to succeed then helped at the senior center cometh at night we had a dinner for Bill and Pat. We'll see whether they date each other or not. I also had three phone calls that brought me to prayer. My friend Vicki and her daughter-in-law and unborn child, my friend Janice and her daughter-in-law and her liver problems and my sister Cindy and her tries to stop eating and go home, my friend Willow and her surgery a shelter and Recovery. At night wait she called and said she was hungry so at about 11 p.m. when I was over there getting her something to eat.

Adult learning, discussion at don't arouse, The Wellness Group at our house at night. Mom said that they're going to discontinued treatment that would prolong Cindy's life. They said it would take one to two weeks for her to complete the cycling pass away
We read scriptures with Guslers, visited with Bill, took din ER to Brady, helped Willo and held our support group

We went to district meeting this morning, I bedtime with a devotional with Willow in the morning, dance had a lesson with Roy in the afternoon, we went to Heather Hales meeting, we took soup to Kathy Simmons and this it is with gusler on the phone and at night let the can follow me group during video chat Bible study. I had a good cry about my sister Cindy and her passing that's happeneing soon.
There was an electric fire in our bread maker. Are whole apartment smells like smoke

Today we helped Pamela Hemphill so she could get her dental work done. We also helped it that Trunk or Treat party and we brought Rachel and Sammy for the party.

I met with willo, we shared Book of Mormon videos with Willo and Roy, I shared scriptures with my sister Cindy's favorite scriptures with her speakerphone, we visited with sister with heart, so be, and sunny, night we went to the stake conference.

Well I didn't feel like having our devotional this morning. She was pretty down. I recorded some songs for my sister Cindy, we went to state conference and took Joshua and the young portal girls with us.

Today we went to read to succeed and then to how about Senior Center. We packed and visited with Bill bourelle then headed to St.Louis. When I got there I realized that I forgot my driver's license and credit cards. I ended up driving by myself all the way back to Cape Girardeau and back to st. Louis hit truck five and a half hours it was dark and very raining. I hydro plated two times. Telling me I could do hard things aunt showed answers to prayers from the girls and dance and Mom. Somehow I got back safely. I slept a few hours

Dan and I left the hotel at about 6 and took a plane 2 don't wake. We arrived early and Tricia picked us up early and we hurried to my sister Cindy's group home. They were afraid I wouldn't get there before Sunday passed away. I spent all day and all night with her. As we waited and prayed for her to be able to go to heaven. Dan and Darrin gave her a blessing at night and also my mom. Trisha brought taco soup. Leah had to given clam chowder for lunch. So much love. So fun to see the grandkids Trisha's Graham.. I slept by Cindy at night. Had a hard time going to sleep.

Here we are on Halloween. Cindy made it through the night. I was up every 2 hours giving Meds. While watching Cindy. Dan Checked on me and sent I LOVE YOU. ❤️❤️❤️💋
1:45 pm. Long hard day waiting for Cindy to join the angels...
I helped hold Cindy's head while they gave her a sponge bath. It was so hard to see Herr open her eyes in pain and tears. That experience caused me a headache that was bad and lasted 24 hours!
At 7 pm the aids came in turn her again and she finally let her air out, gasped for air 4 times and was gone. Mom and I were there and assistants James and Dianna.
Mom and I cried, clasped hands and prayed for gratitude and for her continued journey and her friend from the group home came in.
Phone calls were made, Dan came and we gathered my things and drove to precious to spend the night. The next day I went with Dan to the mortuary but my headache had gotten so bad by then that I ended up only staying a short time than curling up in a ball in the back seat of our car. I spent most of the day in bed are the bad headache. Trisha had tried to help in the morning with a neck and back massage and Mark Parker tried with a foot massage. Later Heidi came in and brought me Sprite and brushed my hair. Play some very long hard hard day. Night about 8 Cindy and her kids game and Heidi and her three youngest were here and I was finally able to open my eyes enough to enjoy them.
