Family April 2020

APRIL
Miracle list at the bottom😅
1
On April 1st this year we were with Tiff and Adam and their family. Maddie got really excited about doing April fools jokes. They asked me to make sugar cookies and salted cookies for April fools. Max was funny because he didn't care about the salted cookies. he ate any cookie! We enjoyed tricks with the Checketts and Marco Polo's of tricks at the Hamiltons. Jenae also made it to visit with Mom in St George.

 2
We again did homeschooling and at night we enjoyed watching Dumbo and then playing Rocco. I also organized Tiffs Pantry for her!

A bit harder with emotions but hanging in there... From a classmate Randy Crump Just so I NEVER forget..... April 2, 2020 Gas price a mile from home was $2.24 School cancelled Self-distancing measures on the rise. Tape on the floors at grocery stores and others to help distance shoppers (6ft) from each other. Limited number of people inside stores, therefore, lineups outside the store doors. Non-essential stores and businesses mandated closed. Parks, trails, entire cities locked up. Entire sports seasons cancelled. Concerts, tours, festivals, entertainment events - cancelled. Weddings, family celebrations, holiday gatherings - cancelled. No masses, churches are closed. No gatherings of 50 or more, then 20 or more, now 5 or more. Don't socialize with anyone outside of your home. Children's outdoor play parks are closed. We are to distance from each other. Shortage of masks, gowns, gloves for our front-line workers. Shortage of ventilators for the critically ill. Panic buying sets in and we have no toilet paper, no disinfecting supplies, no paper towel no laundry soap, no hand sanitizer. Shelves are bare. Manufacturers, distilleries and other businesses switch their lines to help make visors, masks, hand sanitizer and PPE. Government closes the border to all non-essential travel. Fines are established for breaking the rules. Stadiums and recreation facilities open up for the overflow of Covid-19 patients. Press conferences daily from the President. Daily updates on new cases, recoveries, and deaths. Government incentives to stay home. Barely anyone on the roads. People wearing masks and gloves outside. Essential service workers are terrified to go to work. Medical field workers are afraid to go home to their families. 5.4 Earthquake hit Utah (Magna) March 18th 2020. 6.3 Earthquake in Idaho March 31 2020 This is the Novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) Pandemic, declared March 11th, 2020. Why, you ask, do I write this status? One day it will show up in my memory feed, and it will be an annual reminder that life is precious and not to take the things we dearly love for granted. We have so much! Be thankful. Be grateful. Be kind to each other - love one another - support everyone. Be gentle so many people have lost so much. We are in this together ! ❤️

Tiffany made German pancakes this morning and then we went for a long walk with the kids and Tiffany. We then had a long talk with Maddy. General Conference was beautiful this morning. Dan and I went shopping for Easter things at Walmart in the afternoon. He was anxious to get out now that it's been two weeks since we left our missing and we were supposed to be on foreign team. At night the kids road bikes and Gracie learn to ride a two-wheeler. It was so exciting. Tiffany made a fabulous pork ribs dinner and I made homemade bread. It has been a wonderful day with the family. We enjoyed conference 7 as well.

Homeschool was hard today. I was grateful for the scripture "and he shall consecrate thine afflictions for that gain" . Father in Heaven please help me to do these things. Has asked us to do.

Slept in late feeling great. Happy Easter!!
It is fun to see Tiffany and Adam thoroughly enjoying each of their children. They're very loving parents and the kids are off and saying "I love you mommy you are I love you Daddy"
Tiffany made German pancakes for breakfast and cheese and ham grilled sandwiches for lunch and a ham dinner at night. The kids enjoyed sleigh riding because of all the snow and playing with their new Easter toys.
A ham dinner was great then we had a short sacrament meeting and at night Dan and I talked more about when we will head back to Salt Lake 4 St George. He feels like because of the virus we should go straight to our Saint George home. I'm sad because I was looking forward to seeing our Salt Lake family but he thinks we should avoid seeing people for a while.

I woke early and made sweet rolls with Grace for Maddy baptism day. I had Gracie today. Not much fun but we did finish by noon. Tiff bought Chipotle food, Maddy favorite pizza for dinner. Then ended up spending about five hours at the church house trying to fill the font. Tumwater the plug kept having leaks and we were worried about whether the water would be warm enough. In the end it all worked out. The bishop came and we had a zoom meeting including about eight families. What a miracle and blessing the evening was. We had bubbly at night to celebrate.

A few notes from when Maddy received the Holy Ghost:
